Established in 1904, McCaysville, GA has roots in the copper mining industry. The town is unofficially named the “Stateline City” as it is located right on the Georgia\/Tennessee border and along the Toccoa\/Ocoee river. Its twin town Copperhill, Tennessee is connected to McCaysville by the famous steel-truss bridge that was once located along the Toccoa River in Blue Ridge, GA. When the river passes under this bridge it chaits nges name from The Toccoa to the Ocoee River. McCaysville, GA is a great home base for exploring North Georgia and it’s just a short 20 minutes from Blue Ridge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
